Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB

Navigation System
The navigation system is similar to that of the Zen Vision. The following screens are meant to show the main features of the Zen Vision:M's navigation system, and is not meant to be an exhaustive list of functions.
Upon first starting up (which takes about 20 seconds for a "cold" boot), the main menu is shown.
The Music Library...

As with most DAPs, music is sorted either by album, artist, genre, or title.
Selecting "Albums" will show music sorted by album name. Pressing the Right button would select the alphabets on the right of the screen, which allows jumping to names starting with that letter. Handy especially when browsing through all the music.
Selecting the album will show the tracks in that album. Pressing the Play button at the albums screen would play the album immediately.

The "Now Playing" screen.

Finally! Creative has added on-the-fly rating! Some might call it copying the iPod, which also has on-the-fly rating, and which is also activated by "Selecting" at the playing screen. But I think this is a necessary feature to have.

As with previous DAPs by Creative, the DJ function is also present, which has "Album of the Day", "Random Play All", "Most Popular" and "Rarely Heard". While not essential for a DAP, they are a nice touch, and useful when you get bored of your music collection, or when you just don't know what else to listen to.
The next menu is "Photos".
Selecting "Pictures"...
Selecting a folder ...
And selecting a photo...
Notice the aliasing (jagged edges) effect. We'll take an in-depth look later.
The "Options" button reveals a few new features.

Where it failed to appear in the Zen Vision, the Zen Vision:M now includes zooming photos. Now if only Creative would include zooming in a future Zen Vision firmware upgrade.

On-the-fly rating for photos too!

"View Details" offers the same details as the Zen Vision. If only there was so much information for videos.
