Creative Zen Vision 30GB vs. Consus PMC-300 20GB

Consus PMC-300
Navigation System

Unlike the Zen Vision's highly graphical menus, the PMC-300 sports a very bare-bones menu system.

When you first power up the player, it shows the "Video" screen. Pressing the "Tools" lets you sort the files in alphabetical order, or delete the selected file.

Pressing the "Enter" button loads the file.

Pressing the "Right" or "Left" buttons seeks through the video. It is worthwhile to note that the PMC-300 seeks in steps instead of the typical "press and hold" like fast forwarding through a song on a digital audio player. It takes a few seconds to seek one step.

Pressing the "Tools" button brings up the following options, which are pretty self-explanatory. "Time search" lets you jump to a specific time in the movie. This is quite a useful feature.

"Volume balance" lets you get the left-right audio balance. And "Set bookmark" allows you to resume from that point in the movie when you next play it.
